Olympus: Enipeas gorge

We went by car to the site Prionia, where the road ends and the trail begins climbing Mount Olympus. We left the summit of the gods for another time and walked along the gorge of Enipeas towards Litochoro.

At the Prionia were a lot of cars and people in the booth. At the beginning of the trail we saw Enipea springs. A little further down the position Palaiopriono we did the first stop for milk. The weather was sunny but inside the gorge was relative chill.

Continued without stopping until the monastery of St. Dionysus. Shortly before the monastery with a small detour we visited the waterfalls of Enipea forming a small lake. We visited to the monastery, where too many people wondering around (the asphalt now reaches the courtyard of the monastery). After a short break we continued to the Ag. Spileo but we did not stop.

We continued walking undaunted with quick step. The several ups and downs for many kilometres were very tiring. We made a stop in order the little one to eat. We finished the route in the gorge and arrived at the location Mills at 17:30. We had some more walking until the downtown of Litochoro where our room was.

After a good bath we went for dinner in a cheaper restaurant than the yesterday one, but it was not good. The food was completely indifferent. Eventually it is true that you get whatever you pay.
